Sprockets & Segments
The sprocket has an odd number of teeth to provide a change in tooth-to-sprocket contact every revolution of the sprocket, and this is called "tooth hunting" usually. This design makes the even distribution of wear among the sprocket teeth.

At F&L, all sprockets are formed from deep hardening steel and then are accurately machined to ensure correct fitment to your equipments.

Sprockets are made from SCMn3A or 42SiMnCr, the external tooth profiles deep induction hardened for maximum durability.

Sprocket segments are forged from 35MnB alloy steel, and thoroughly hardened for extended wear life.
